Why do I need hormone replacement therapy?

  • Delay symptoms of aging

  • Increase energy

  • Maintain and/or increase skin and muscle tone

  • Increase libido

  • Decrease depression and anxiety

  • Increase immune system

  • Improve insomnia

  • Thicken hair

  • Protect against dementia, diabetes, heart disease, and osteoporosis

Why are pellets better than estrogen and testosterone patches, shots, and pills?

The estrogen and testosterone found in the pellets are biologically identical to the hormones made in your body. This means that your body recognizes the hormones in the same manner as if they were produced by you. Consequently, no byproducts are created during the metabolism of the hormones resulting in unwanted side effects.

Yes. Testosterone levels begin to decline before menopause and should be replaced when women begin experiencing symptoms.

How long will it take for my pellets to work?

It typically takes 3-4 weeks to experience the full effect of the pellets and you must be re-inserted every 3-4 months for women and 5-6 months for men before symptoms recur.

Where are the pellets inserted?

The pellets are placed in the upper outer quadrant of the hip just below the skin.

Do estradiol and testosterone pellets cause weight gain?

No. Testosterone actually increases bone and muscle mass, while decreasing fat. Typically, most patients experience weight loss around 9-12 months, but undergo a loss in clothing size prior to that.

How long will my pellets last?

Approximately 3-4 months for women and 5-6 months for men. Depending on the amount of exercise, stress, and sleep, the pellets may dissolve quicker and require you to receive more pellets on the next insertion.

How long can I take the pellets?

You can take pellet replacement hormones for as long as you desire the benefits.
